2009 CCK Missions Trips

26 02 2009

Calvary Chapel Kendall is excited to have the opportunity to serve our missionaries by sending them teams. In the past, we’ve sent teams to Mississippi, Peru, Costa Rica, Asia, and the Middle East. Our goal is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ in everything we do, we hope to portray God’s love through our actions and our words. This year we have been invited to serve in El Salvador and Brazil. It’s an honor to be ambassadors for Christ in other parts of the world, a responsibility we take very seriously.

Please be aware that these trips are not tours nor vacations.

El Salvador July 4-11

In July we have the opportunity of joining Potter’s Field Ministries at their orphanage in San Martin, El Salvador. The Lord has called us to serve orphans and we plan to do just that. We will be making ourselves available to Potter’s Field for whatever need they have including teaching kids about the Lord and doing light construction work on the orphanage grounds.

Cost: $1,250 per person

Registration is required by April 20

Brazil August 7-17

Pastor Alexandre Silva Vaz from Calvary Chapel Rio de Janeiro has invited Calvary Kendall to Rio. We will be teaming up together in order to further impact the community in Rio. We’re going to take over CC Rio’s church services and bless the church body with worship and teaching. We will also team up with Pastor Alexandre to conduct outreaches throughout the city.

Cost: $2,000 per person.

Registration is required by April 20

Come by CCK to register or email us at missions@calvarykendall.com for more information.

I AM the resurrection and the life, he who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. – John 11.25

Jesus is continually resurrecting dead lives and breathing His life into them. He builds up wasted places, raises up shoddy foundations, repairs breeches in the wall and restores the streets. Jesus is the epitome of what a resurrected life looks like and exemplifies what it means to live life to the fullest – completely for God the Father. If He has resurrected us, then we owe our lives to Him and should live completely for Him. Our resurrected lives must be centered around Jesus, for we know that the outward man perishes, but the inward man is being renewed day by day. Let the life of Christ infiltrate all aspects of who you are and find that you are living the abundant life.  – Pastor David Mercer Director

Update from the Potter’s Field Ranch

23 08 2007

Alex, the newest member of Potter's Field Ranch Orphanage in El Salvador

I AM the Good Shepherd The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep John 10.11

Continuing with the “I AM” statements of Jesus, we see another characteristic of His nature in that He is the Good Shepherd.  Note that He is not just a good shepherd, but THE Good Shepherd.  He is the only shepherd and everything that He does is good.  He knows you, your needs, your struggles and your innermost thoughts.  He knows how to guide and direct you, never leading you astray.  He is completely trustworthy.  Consider His goodness in that He is excellent, He is perfect and in Him there is no darkness.

In the following articles, you will see how the Good Shepherd is tending His flock, through Potter’s Field Ranch, El Salvador Orphanage and associate ministries.

– Pastor David Mercer Director
