2009 CCK Missions Trips

26 02 2009

Calvary Chapel Kendall is excited to have the opportunity to serve our missionaries by sending them teams. In the past, we’ve sent teams to Mississippi, Peru, Costa Rica, Asia, and the Middle East. Our goal is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ in everything we do, we hope to portray God’s love through our actions and our words. This year we have been invited to serve in El Salvador and Brazil. It’s an honor to be ambassadors for Christ in other parts of the world, a responsibility we take very seriously.

Please be aware that these trips are not tours nor vacations.

MBS Students returned from a fruitful trip to El Salvador

Finishing Well at the Montana Bible School…

The students have been hard at work since their return from El Salvador, as they served locally in the Flathead Valley with several different organizations. One service event was the Whitefish Christian Academy’s annual “Building on the Rock Fundraiser” on November 1st, in which the students, interns and staff of Potter’s Field Ranch were an integral part.  The fundraiser successfully raised vital support for the Christian elementary school through a dinner and silent auction. The students also worked with Habitat For Humanity, Lighthouse Ministries and the Good Samaritan Nursing Home during their weekly servant times.

Update from Potter’s Field Ministries

11 10 2008

El Salvador :  No slowing down…

This past month Pastor Michael, along with a few staff members, pastors from around the nation, and ministry-minded friends were able to visit the orphanage. This team of twenty-five caught the vision of God’s plan for the Potter’s Field Ranch Orphanage and other works He has “ordained from the foundations”.

In prior newsletters we mentioned that Potter’s Field has been praying about furthering the ministry in La Angustora (just north of the capital).  During this past trip, God orchestrated events that brought about the purchase of land.  Over the next year, Potter’s Field and Calvary Chapel San Salvador plan to establish a church in the area and provide the structure needed for a brand new Potter’s Field Kids after school program.  Praise God for this progress!

El Salvador

Mission teams have been in full swing visiting our orphanage in El Salvador. Since January, eight churches have sent over one-hundred people to conduct outreaches in the local community, assist with the Potter’s Field Kids after school program and enhance the orphanage property. More teams are scheduled to assist throughout the remainder of the year. We are grateful for the investments these churches and individuals are making to further the local church by equipping and evangelizing those in the area.  “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)

The Potter’s Wheel – July

24 07 2008

For He has done great things…

The summer season is well under way, and back to back missionary teams are serving the community in San Martin, El Salvador. Teams from around the U.S.A. have been able to participate in community outreach events, children’s ministry and construction projects. The local barrio has been blessed by all the love these missionary teams have been showing, and furthermore, the teams have returned from this experience encouraged and excited by what they have seen firsthand. “By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35) With multiple planned construction projects, exciting things are on the horizon. We will soon double the number of kids living on the property, and future projects consist of a separate home for the “house parents” in San Martin, as well as, the needed water, electrical and septic systems. The Potter’s Field Kids program currently enrolls 75 students and our goal is to double this by the end of the year. In addition to our San Martin location, we are prayerfully working on expanding into other locations within El Salvador and other countries, including Mexico and Honduras. The Lord is opening doors for expansion in Central America and we are excited to see what He has in store for this ministry. Please pray that the Lord would continue to reveal His plan for us and the missionary teams coming to minister in the area.

The Potter’s Wheel – Monthly Update from Potter’s Field Ranch

24 06 2008

Pastor Don McClure - Montana Bible School DirectorMAKING DISCIPLES
Ready for Opening Day…

As the Montana Bible School (MBS) at Potter’s Field Ranch (PFR) is preparing for the upcoming five-month term, the question is, “what will the effect of their training be when the student returns to their sending church?” In light of this question, we are providing several ministry tracks where the students will receive hands-on learning in specific areas of church ministry. For example, the serious student will be able to finish MBS with up to 100 hours in the area of children’s ministry, if they so choose, equipped to serve at their sending church or organization the day they return. Here are some additional areas of training that will be provided: Multi-media, college & career, youth ministry, worship, missions, facilities, event planning and more. Please pray for the students as they prepare to come, learn, and be equipped for the calling set before them. Our prayer is for each student to leave MBS with a passion and desire to serve their home church in the area in which they have been called and trained.

The Potter’s Wheel – Monthly Highlights

13 05 2008

Pastor Mike & Pam Rozell with orphan boysAnticipating Growth…

After only four months of operating the Potter’s Field Kids after school program in San Martin, El Salvador, we’re ready for our next assignment. The Lord has opened up more doors and we have another church gearing up for some more amazing kids’ ministry. Potter’s Field Kids is on track to tackle the facility at La Angustora, El Salvador in the next few months!

Keep us in prayer as we work out the plans to add another 60 children. What a blessing it is to have the Body of Christ support all these little ones in our after school program. Five days a week, the kids aged 4 – 12, will come to the church for: Tutoring, Bible Study, Snacks & Activity time. Many of the parents have expressed such gratitude for this safe haven where their children can be loved and cared for. We couldn’t do this without you – Thanks! Read the rest of this entry »

Montana Guests & Service Abroad… Potters Field Ministries

17 04 2008

Pastor Greg Laurie in the PFR Upper RoomGREG LAURIE VISITS RANCH!

As the sun peeks through the snow clouds bringing in another incredible Montana spring, we’ve had some welcomed guests “peek” in as well.

Pastor Greg Laurie from Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, CA., stopped by for an amazing time of sharing and questions and answers with our students and staff of term one of ’08. By far, this was one of one the most profound times of ministry as we sat and dialogued with this evangelist who has been used mightily by God.

The students sat transfixed and were riveted by the transparency of his testimony of how God’s healing power helped him to overcome a rough childhood. He is still in awe of how God takes broken lives and transforms them to be used by the Master Potter. Pastor Greg has been used beyond his wildest dreams, internationally with his Harvest Crusade ministry and was used indelibly in Northwestern Montana to change young students’ lives forever.

Interested in hearing some of Pastor Greg’s ministry insights? Log onto our website and download the MP3 file – or better yet, take five months personally to study under some incredible men of God.

News from Potters Field Ranch – Mike and Pam Rozell

19 03 2008

A view of Potter's Field Ranch from the summit of Dog Mountain.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. – Ps. 46.1

Truly a wonderful aspect to the Christian life is that our redeeming God is compassionate and caring. In our time of great need, we are forced to trust the Most Trustworthy, we are guided to the Shelter of Shelters and we place our very hope in Him. It is in maintaining fellowship with God that His strength is made manifest through our weakness. How would we glorify Him for His power and might and healing if we never suffered from weakness, sickness and frailty? Read the rest of this entry »
