Urgent Prayer Request from Far Reaching Ministries

12 12 2008

Dear Prayer Warriors,

We have an important request. One of our former missionaries, Rick Deam, is in critical condition with congestive heart failure. He does not have health insurance and is need of good medical care. Please be praying for him and his wife, Ruth, that the Lord would heal and provide in the most amazing way.

If anyone is interested in helping in any way you can, please send support to the office Attn: Wes Bentley.

Thank you again for being faithful to pray!

Crowns that don’t Fade

alonso21

CCk Missions is mourning for a fellow Missionary. Alonso was a Peruvian native and was very involved in Ministry with Calvary Chapel Lima and the CC Bible College in Lima, Peru. He was as solid in the faith as anybody could be and he definitely showed it. He went all over Peru preaching the Gospel with other Calvary Chapel Missionaries. He was a gifted pianist, artist, and evangelist. His Peace could only come from the Prince of Peace. He was returning home to Lima from a short term missions trip in the mountains when his bus overturned. He was traveling with another Peruvian missionary who escaped with minor injuries. The Lord decided to take Alonso home and crown him before some of us. We don’t mourn like those who have no hope because we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Right now Alonso is better off than we are. He was a dear friend and he will be dearly missed.

Update from Calvary Chapel Rio

17 03 2008

Hi everyone!!

I would like to share with you someting that is happening here Calvary Chapel Rio de Janeiro. April 2 we are going to complete 2 years here in Rio, time goes fast, and for me I can see the hand of the Lord working in and through our lives.

If you remember one of our main prayer last year was for our worship team, praise God yhe Lord has answered our prayes and now we have a very blessed worship team, Cleber, Helder, Aline, Graci, Alessandra, i would like to ask you to keep praying for them, for the Lord to continue to use their lives as they lead our church in worship.

Also we have some people involved with “door” ministry, What is that? As you guys know we meet on the third floor of a building, so we need people to stay downstairs to open the door for the people to come in, and now the Lord is raising some faithful people who are helping with that. A Wonderful Testimony from the Middle East

7 06 2007

The Lord told me that she would come back.

This is what stuck with me about his testimony. This Muslim man, in this middle eastern country, had a few dreams about Jesus, so then he sought out some Christians that he knew and decided to give his life to the Lord. It’s that simple, but what about his wife? When she found out that he left Islam and gave his life to the Lord she immediately left him.
