The Rozek Family Newsletter – UK

23 09 2008

Hey everyone! We want you to know that we deeply miss you all and we are so
blessed to know that we have all your love and support! Every prayer matters
and makes a difference! Thank you for all of you who are supporting us
financially so that we can carry out the ministry here.

We are seeing an increase in our fellowship as the Lord brings new families
to us and lives are being built up in Christ.  Please pray specifically for
this new season of the ministry as some of our college students return for
another term, as each member of our fellowship gets up and shares their
testimony openly on a Sunday morning and we keep opening up our lives to
build each other up in the Lord.

We have experienced some difficult times in our marriage as we balance
everything going on in our lives, but we are learning to depend on Christ
all the more and overcome any obstacles our way in order to keep first
things first!

With your prayers and supply of the Spirit, we know that we have what we
need to press on toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus!

All for Jesus and Jesus for all!
Joey, Tiffany, Madelyn, Josiah and Jordan

Sudan:

Please pray for the Bible College this year that it would be fruitful and that the men coming would go even deeper with the Lord.
Pray for the chaplains who are still traveling to get to the Bible College.
Pray for our land in Pageri, although we have all our paper work in order, there are those who are still trying to give us a hard time over our land. Pray the Lord would continue to defend us. Read the rest of this entry »

A New Place – Kim Stilwell – Quepos, Costa Rica

10 09 2008

Hi friends and family,

Pray for us as we branch out into unknown territories. Our small body has found a new location downtown that will cost us $100 a month. It will work until God brings us into a new or different place…..so we will no longer be meeting in our house unless God does something different. This is so exciting for my family and for the body. Keep praying for us. We have also found a location for the church but it costs around $200,000. We don’t have that kind of money but it is in a perfect location with room to grow. It is new and has possibilities. If God has been speaking to any hearts out there as to what to do with extra money….give it to His work. Keep praying and thanks for being there.

In His Grip,

Kim

Update from Kim Stilwell in Quepos, Costa Rica

10 09 2008

Goal: Serve and glorify our God, serve the greater community of Quepos/Manuel Antonio and serve the addicted and or homeless community here in this immediate area.

Purpose: is to restore, to the extent possible, persons among this homeless population to their fruitful places in society – to begin again to be productive and healthy members of their families and their communities.

Update July/Aug. 2008   We have an average of 10 men living in the house.  The program consists of biblical studies, physical healing and disciplines, community and family reintegration, household duties, community service, work projects, among others.

The house we are renting is affectionately called the House of Love (Casa de Amor)

Jimmy Vargas continues to do a great job as the hands-on director.  In addition, Jared and his wife Eileen have joined the Quepos/center to live and assist with all aspects of the program. Jarod,  called Moses by the men in the center, is volunteering and is a welcome friend.  Read the rest of this entry »

Update from Gary & Marlene Cameron – Intervarsity Miami

5 09 2008

Hello friends!

Fall semester is an exciting time. All of the fellowships where we serve (FIU, UM and the UM Miller School of Medicine) have had  their Orientations and New Student Outreach events.  Their weekly meetings have begun and it looks like a promising year. We have met some very fine students. Some come with great excitement, some come from difficult contexts and need to experience God’s love and hospitality. In our prayer list below we ask you to pray for them and the faculty in these schools. Read the rest of this entry »

The Potters Wheel – Mike and Pam Rozell

5 09 2008

El Salvador

Mission teams have been in full swing visiting our orphanage in El Salvador. Since January, eight churches have sent over one-hundred people to conduct outreaches in the local community, assist with the Potter’s Field Kids after school program and enhance the orphanage property. More teams are scheduled to assist throughout the remainder of the year. We are grateful for the investments these churches and individuals are making to further the local church by equipping and evangelizing those in the area.  “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)
