UPDATE…
Thank you for all of you who stop, drop and roll a prayer for us to the throne of Grace. They are never forgotten by God and always appreciated by us. Prayer brings heaven and earth together in a kiss that leaves people affectionately affected forever.
The outreach we did two weekends ago resulted about 40 people receiving a Bible, many receiving one for the very first time and as well as many more receiving free water bottles. Some people are from parts of the world where they cannot get a copy of the Bible. Praise God that they have one now!!! I was asked to share the Gospel openly on the microphone they had set up and I was able to sense the empowering of the Holy Spirit to speak the words that He would have me to share in that kind of public setting. Several people came up to talk to me when I was done sharing, some believers who were touched and others who wanted a Bible.
One young man named Nick, had spent the last six years just addicted to drugs and alcohol…and we spend over an hour talking and sharing with him…which resulted in him praying to receive Christ as his Lord!
PRAISE THE LORD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW!!!!
This past Saturday night, I was invited to teach the Word at St. Matthews, a Church of England church that has been known in the past for solid Bible teaching but has been recently gone through several changes. I was invited by a couple who put on a summer series called PPW (Prayer, Praise and the Word). I met them when Jacob Prasch shared here in Cambridge and they are very like-minded with me concerning the need for the Word of God and the Spirit of God. The people who came were blessed and shared with me about their hunger for the Bible to taught in depth and broken down for them to feed on more regularly. Several came from various parts of the city and had expressed an interest in wanting to the details of our ministry here.
We have had more new people show up on Sunday mornings, including one family who seems strong in the Lord, and we have seen some real growth lately in some of the people who have been coming to our Bible Studies for awhile. We know that sowing the truth of God and imparting the life of Christ WILL produce changes in the hearts of all people over time…even if that change exposes that some are not fully ready to follow Christ.
We are still in need for a stronger commitment and consistency of some in our fellowship, but we know that culturally the British have been this way when it comes to being with the Church and this is also the busiest time for vacationing for them as well. We are still in need of assistance in leading worship and helping in the children’s ministry and reinforcement of imparting the call of ministry and service to the British, but we know the Lord will provide in His time.
Please pray for us this week as we will be going to the Family Camp that several Calvary Chapel fellowships will be doing together. I am speaking on Monday and Thursday night and we are praying that this will a rich time of fellowship for all of us.
UPLIFT…
When Paul was considering his lifestyle before he met Christ and the lifestyle he was now leading with the life of Christ dwelling in him, he reminded his fellow brethren of their new identity in Christ and of what really matters saying…
Our new identity:
Phil. 3:3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,
What really matters:
Phil. 3:7-8 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ…
We must keep this in our minds and hearts always. We belong to Christ and we are called to become like Christ and to build up others in Christ and bring as many to Christ as we can before we are beholding Christ forevermore.
Don’t waste any more time…and don’t forget what matters! LET US…
ATTAIN the life of CHRIST!
GAIN the knowledge of CHRIST!
MAINTAIN the walk of CHRIST!
Until the REIGN of CHRIST is over all!
You only have one life and soon it shall be past… and only what you do for Christ Jesus will last!
