Important Request – Far Reaching Ministries

Hello my dear friends,

I am writing to ask you to intercede for Jennifer. She is the teenage sister of Sarah Unger from the FRM office. This young girl was  horribly neglected as a child and drank lye from a garbage bin while looking for food. For years she has been battling to regain health. Tomorrow at 10am she has to have one last major surgery. Her esophagus is leaking into the lung and thus far no one can stop it. The doctors are not expecting her to make it. Please pray for a miracle healing.

Pray for her family to be comforted too!

Important Prayer Request – John Bonner, Peru

We would like to request prayer for a three-day outreach we will be doing next week in Ventanilla/Pachacutec, the largest we have done to date, coordinating more than 200 participants from Peru and the United States.  This July 17-19 “invasion,” 30 minutes north of Lima, includes two bands, lots of clowns, puppets and evangelistic mimes. 

 

Please pray that the Holy Spirit would open the hearts of those we will be ministering to in the schools, parks and at the main concert event on Saturday evening.  Ask the Lord for boldness and for His protection for each participant, too.  Also, remember to pray for Pastor Raul Cervera, his wife Betty, and Darci Berry who are working in the Ventanilla area full-time. 

 

You are loved, and your labor in the Lord is much appreciated!  Write when you can.

Prayer Points – Far Reaching Ministries

Sudan:

Please pray for Helen Lagu. She has been sick for three months with various illnesses. She is currently trying to fight off typhoid fever. She is very depressed and discouraged. Pray God will enable her to fix her eyes on Him.

Pray for Helen A. who has no strength in her legs and the doctors cannot figure out why.

Pray for the incoming students as the travel to Nimule this week.

Pray God will refresh all the chaplains here over the next month of teaching!

Pray that Shane will finish repairing our trucks before the summer team arrives. We have been hindered from some construction because we don’t have out lorry. James is planning to pick it up Tuesday, please ask God to have it ready and to give him traveling mercies.

Pray for the final shopping for Love Covers supplies this week. The dollar is weak and we have not yet gotten the 1,000 sponsors we needed for each pack, so please pray we get really great prices on the remaining supplies. 

Pray for the container from the USA to reach Nimule before our Love Covers team arrives. We need many of the supplies on hand for such a large team (28 people).

Pray for peace in Abiyei, Sudan (near the Nuba Mountains).

Prayer Request – Far Reaching Ministries, Sudan

Please pray for Joseph (He is one of our chaplains in Sudan who is now working in Kitgum doing ministry) his brother, who is eight years old, has been bitten by a snake again. It took him a month to recover from this first snake bite and he is now in the hospital with this one. Please pray for Okot that the Lord would completely heal him. Pray for Joseph to be comforted during this time.
