Prayer Points – Far Reaching Ministries

Sudan: 

Pray for the team from Maranatha and Gulf Breeze to win all 1000 children to the Lord. Pray hearts and lives will be radically changed during the VBS.

Pray for the women’s conference in Pageri on July 21st and 22nd and in Nimule on the 26th. Ask God to bless the women with understanding and application.

Please pray for the health of every team member.

Our lorry broke down Sunday night. James is working with a local mechanic to get it fixed. We need it to transport people and the Love Packs. Please pray it will be running well before Friday.

Pray for the translators to be filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit.

Pray for Pastor Tobias as the church construction is still not sorted out. We need an honest contractor, a fair price, and we are hoping the members of the church will help with the labor.

Please ask God to give Wes and Ben traveling mercies as they drive to Sudan on the 19th.

Pray for Vicky and the chaplains as the go to Juba to work on registration and documentation for the chaplains to be trained in 2008/2009. Ask God to give us favor with every official and to open doors to see the highest officials in each department. Please also pray our registration will include full exemption.

Uganda:

Entebbe: 

Pray for the Linquist family as they need to pack up and move August 1st.

Pray the church will continue to seek and save the lost.

Pray for each missionary serving there: Craig, Loren, Zane, and Summer; let God pour forth upon their hearts daily.

Kampala:

Pray that much fruit would come from the outreach on the island of Luwero.

Please pray that Jill would be completely healed from her bacterial infection. Praise God it wasn’t cancer!

Pray for Brian and Jill as they adjust to managing the guesthouse. Pray they will be encouraged and that God will shine through them daily. Pray for unity among them and the staff, pray the missionaries  will be sensitive to their efforts and show appreciation.

Kitgum: 

Pray Erica will be healed and her strength will come back.

Pray for provision for the children at Sister Teddy’s Place.

Pray for Lucy and her children’s health. They seem to be constantly ill.

Pray for the new group of child mothers at the Food for the Hungry program. Many are attending Calvary Chapel Kitgum. Pray that they would find their hope in Him.

Pray that Therese will quickly grasp Acholi and that her gifts would be stirred up as she serves Him.

Pray for Ginny and Brenda to have a great impact on each person they minister to during their stay from July 11th to the 25th. Ask God to give them courage as they see the extent of suffering in the lives of the women and children. Ask God to comfort them so they can comfort others!

Please pray for the Hepatitis E outbreak to end.

Masindi: 

Pray that God would prepare the hearts here to receive His word.

Pray for the outreach scheduled August 1st to 8th. Pray we can come alongside Richard and Suzan and bless them. Pray the women’s conference will be well understood and applied. 

Gulu: 

Pray that the container bound for Gulu would be released from Kampala.

Pray that the Lord would intervene and a Christian curriculum would be allowed at the school being built by Sanctuary of Grace.

Pray Keith and Lisa will be strengthened for the coming months. They have a heavy schedule of teaching, learning, and hosting teams. Pray Lisa will glean much from her language course in the UK in August.

Pray the staff of Sanctuary of Grace is unified and inspired by the Spirit.

Kenya:

Pray that the Lord would continue to heal the nation from the results of the riots.

Pray the Lord would lead and guide the men’s ministry.

Please pray for the ladies who will come to the women’s retreat in August that they would set their hearts on Jesus.

Pray for Twinkle to have wisdom and grace. The women’s ministry is growing and she needs faithful laborers to come along side her. Pray God will provide.

Pray the Lord will raise up missionaries or nationals to help Pastor Dave with caring for the body at CC Nairobi.

Rwanda:

Pray for Tom to know when and where to begin a Bible study.

Pray for Cheryl as she begins teaching Sunday school at the church they are attending.

Pray they will learn the language and be knit together in heart with the people in Kigali.

Pray for a place to live and work permits to be obtained.

Tanzania:

Pray for the Langley family to be sent out with full support. They are eager to return to the field. Please also pray for Jon as he travels to Sudan to teach at the Bible College for several weeks. Pray he will be used mightily in the lives of these young men.

China: 

Please continue to pray for open doors as we reach out to the earthquake victims. Ask God to provide wisdom as they work with the children, to discern who needs more help dealing with the trauma.

Pray for the volunteers who are working on water and building projects. Also lift up the team doing the final work on the curriculum games and activities for the camp for children.

Russia: 

Please pray that the hearts of the children going to camp—that they would be prepared to receive God’s love and grow in Him.

Close to our hearts:

Pray for Jennifer to be healed completely. She has a long recovery ahead of her. Please ask God to encourage her entire family!

Please pray for Pam, whose brother died recently.

Pray for Debbie as she will be having surgery in August, and for her son Nick who may need knee surgery.

Pray for the Garcia family they found out that Kristin has auto immune disease the doctors gave her two weeks to live she has two kids seven and nine years old. Please pray the Lord would intercede greatly.

Please pray for each of our donors to receive a blessing. They have been so faithful and we are grateful for every gift we receive. Let the Lord repay them and sustain them during these financial hard times.

Pray for Wes, his travel schedule over the next 60 days is intense. Ask God to empower him and to use him to stir up the saints to love and good works.

Pray for the “Binding Hearts” retreat in September to be anointed.

Pray for Emily to reach the office safely. She will be taking over as Missions Co-coordinator in mid- August.

Pray for Mark to get a great job near his home.

Please pray for Papa Joe as he undergoes dialysis pray that his heart would hold up. Please pray for his family as well as they are physically and emotionally exhausted.

The prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective! Praise Him for these answers to your prayers.

Close to our hearts: 

Jennifer made it through the surgery and is stable and responsive!

Kitgum: 

The Lord is using Marilyn tremendously to help raise support for the Sister Teddy’s children. Praise God for what He has provided.

Praise God! Ginny and Brenda were a huge blessing!

Praise God for the teams serving in Gulu, they did a mighty work and were blessed by the ministry!

Pray the fire they carried home will raise up more prayer warriors.

Praise the Lord for the 18 women who graduated from the tailoring school on Saturday! Ask God to bless the work of their hands.

Praise God for the 40 women who received literacy certificates and a new Bible! Please pray they will begin reading daily! Also, we still need Acholi Bibles; pray we can get them this month!
