Prayer Points – Far Reaching Ministries

Sudan:

Pray for the men’s conference starting July 2ist. Pray each pastor who teaches will be effective and precise. Pray that our chaplains and pastors will take up the call to arms and that we can be sued to reach the Middle East for Jesus.

Pray for Hellen Lagu to overcome her depression. Ask God to lift her heart back to Him.

Pray while she is here daily with us we can edify her and bring her mind back to the faithfulness of the Lord.

Pray for Hellen Olal as she is in Kitgum serving with Erica. Ask God to stir up her gift of teaching and to use her mightily.

Pray for the students coming from Upper Nile to get quick and safe passage by Friday. They keep getting delayed and we need them here by the 15th July.

Pray the chaplains will hear God’s voice and obey without hesitation. God has given them each fresh vision these past 10 days. They are starting to desire to reach all of Africa! Praise be to God!

Pray for the team from Maranatha and Gulf Breeze to win all 1000 children to the Lord. Pray hearts and lives will be radically changed during the VBS.

Pray for the women’s conference in pager on July 21 and 22. Ask God to bless the women with understanding and application.

Pray for the graduation celebration on July 12th. We have 16 women getting certificates in Tailoring and over 30 getting literacy diplomas! The Madi and Dinka language Bibles arrived today, so pray the Acholi ones will make it in tie for the party!

Please also pray for the women’s conference in Nimule on July 26th. Ask God to pour His Spirit upon each missionary who will be sharing.

Uganda:

Entebbe: 

Pray for the Lindquist as they need to pack up and move August 1. Pray the roof on their home would get put up soon.

Pray for the team coming out and the Pastor’s conference that they will be doing pray the Lord would use this mightily to encourage and build up each church member. 

Kampala: 

Pray for Therese as she studies Acholi; pray she retains and learns quickly.

Calvary Chapel Bible College Uganda is ready for the next semester. Pray that we would have a good transition from day classes to night classes, and that just the right people would enroll.

Pastor Josh and wife Natalie will be returning this month from furlough. They are in England with family. Please pray for their safe return. 

Pray for Pastor Brain and his wife Lynne to be refreshed while in Seychelles. Ask God to renew them heart, soul, body, and mind. Pray for the Kanyike’s as they watch over the children in their absence.  

Kitgum: 

Pray the hepatitis outbreak will end.

Pray Erica will be healed and her strength will come back. Pray God uses this time she is forced to rest to make her a warrior in prayer.  

Pray for Ginny and Brenda to have a great impact on each person they minister to during their stay from July 11th to the 25th.

Please pray for Flavia, a baby at the IDP Camp where we do Bible studies, who was badly burned 5 months ago. It is difficult for her to eat any food as her mouth was so badly disfigured. Pray also for her mother, Beatrice, to have strength, comfort, and provision from the Lord. 

Please pray for Therese in Kampala as she prepares to come up to Kitgum. Pray for her Bible study with the guards, her language studies, and that the Lord will bless her time there in every way. 

Masindi: 

Pray for as we will be sending teams there this summer pray the Lord would use them mightily to be an encouragement. 

Pray for Richard and Suzan’s wedding plans to go smoothly. Pray God will provide for every need and unite the families together in Christ. 

Gulu: 

Pray that God will provide the resources for a new vehicle and generator for the Coggins family. We are working to raise enough funds to get them a new cehicle by December. 

Pray for the teams serving with them in Ochuka this summer. Pray they will serve effectively and will help reach more families in the village. 

Pray for Lisa as she travels to the UK in August for a special linguistics class. She is begging God to give her the ability to speak and teach Acholi. 

Lisa and another Christian teacher in Gulu are going to start training teachers to use the new curriculum this fall. Pray it will be received, approved, and started in every school in Northern Uganda.

Kenya: 

Pray for the team to be built up in love and unity.

Pray for the Sunday school children to mature in Christ.

Pray the Lord would lead and guide the men’s ministry.

Please pray for the plans for the women’s retreat in August that all the preparations would go well and many ladies will grow deeper in the Lord.

Rwanda: 

Please pray for wisdom and direction as to where the Lord wants Tom and Cheryl to live, pray the lord would provide work permits and other required paperwork.

China: 

Please continue to pray for open doors as we reach out to the earthquake victims.

Russia: 

Please pray for Mark as he plans the summer camps that the Lord would work out and provide for every detail.

Close to our hearts:

Pray for Jennifer to be healed completely. Pray her family will be comforted during this stressful time. The odds are against her but we know God is for her!

Pray for the Kristin Garcia she was diagnosed with an auto immune disease the doctors gave her only two weeks to live and she has two kids seven and nine years old. Please pray for a miracle healing. Pray the whole family will cling to Jesus. 

Please pray for each of our donors to receive a blessing. They have been so faithful and we are grateful for every gift we receive. Let the Lord repay them and sustain them during these financial hard times. 

Pray for Wes, his travel schedule over the next 60 days is intense. Ask God to empower him and to use him to stir up the saints to love and good works. 

Pray for the “Binding Hearts” retreat in September to be anointed.

Pray for Emily to reach the office safely. She will be taking over as Missions Co-coordinator in mid August. 

Pray for Mark to get a great job near to his family.

Please pray for Papa Joe as he undergoes dialysis. Pray that his heart would hold up. Please pray for his family as well as they are physically and emotionally exhausted.

The prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective! Praise Him for these answers to your prayers.

James got back with the truck so that we can transport the back packs.

The Lord has answered prayer with Papa Joe and he was able to go home.

The Lord is using Marilyn tremendously to help raise support for the Sister Teddies children.

Thirty women gave their lives to Jesus last Friday in Pageri!
