Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your continued interest in the ministry here in Peru and for your prayers. Here are a few of the things that are happening.
This last week I’ve been very encouraged about the work in Santa Rosa de Villa and Surco. We are really excited about the people that are fasting with us one or two days a week in these two churches. We’re calling on the Lord for a deeper relationship with Him and asking Him to work in our church and our neighborhood. The people in Santa Rosa have been very encouraged regarding fasting and it’s great to see.
Monday morning I walked past the church sanctuary and there were three men praying together. They were getting ready to go out witnessing. Aaron was there. He is a missionary that has been serving with us when He can. Miguel was there too. He’s 15 years old and God is working in his heart. He loves to go out and preach the word in the streets. The third man that was there was Pedro. Pedro is about 30. He works in quality control at the milk company and has been spending a good portion of his spare time in prayer and evangelism. God is good.
Speaking of the young men. Several of them have been praying about a missions trip in October. They want to go preach the gospel and minister to some people that we know that live in Chiclayo. That’s a city on the north coast of Peru. Miguel (the same one that went witnessing) has decided to take the rest of the guys to this city with him because it’s his home town. He wants to go preach the gospel there instead of going to Cuzco with his school class.
This week there’s a team from Brandon Florida ministering in Playa Hermosa with Pastor Jaime. They will be ministering there as a church for the next few weeks. Let’s keep them in prayer.
Please start praying for me as I will be travelling to Cuba on the 18th. I’ll be there until the 28th ministering at a youth conference, to pastors, etc. This will be a tremendous blessing for me and part of that blessing is that the brothers that asked me to accompany them are paying all my expenses!
God bless you all. Please continue to send us your prayer requests. We do pray for each one. God answers prayer!
