Prayer Points – Far Reaching Ministries

Sudan:

Please pray for Helen Lagu. She has been sick for three months with various illnesses. She is currently trying to fight off typhoid fever. She is very depressed and discouraged. Pray God will enable her to fix her eyes on Him.

Pray for Helen A. who has no strength in her legs and the doctors cannot figure out why.

Pray for the incoming students as the travel to Nimule this week.

Pray God will refresh all the chaplains here over the next month of teaching!

Pray that Shane will finish repairing our trucks before the summer team arrives. We have been hindered from some construction because we don’t have out lorry. James is planning to pick it up Tuesday, please ask God to have it ready and to give him traveling mercies.

Pray for the final shopping for Love Covers supplies this week. The dollar is weak and we have not yet gotten the 1,000 sponsors we needed for each pack, so please pray we get really great prices on the remaining supplies. 

Pray for the container from the USA to reach Nimule before our Love Covers team arrives. We need many of the supplies on hand for such a large team (28 people).

Pray for peace in Abiyei, Sudan (near the Nuba Mountains).

Uganda:

Kampala: 

Pray for the Kanyike’s as they have taken over the management of our Kampala guesthouse in addition to their ministry at CC Kampala. Ask God to increase their strength and to make the transition smooth. Pray He will richly bless the work of their hands. 

We are hoping to get a quote to finish the work on our Kampala addition this week. Please pray God will give us a contractor who is, diligent, accurate, and has godly values. Also ask God to give the Kanyike’s wisdom in overseeing the work.

Pray for the Fellman’s as they branch out into their discipleship ministries in Kampala. Ask God to provide for them and to bless them with His peace.

Kitgum: 

Please pray God will heal Erica of her second bout of typhoid.

Pray for WB who is sick with pneumonia to be healed.

Pray for God to raise up the people of Kitgum to be leaders in His Body and who will not compromise with the world.

Please pray, as all of the needs we see around us are overwhelming and we are only just scratching the surface. Pray God reaches the Acholi people with emotional healing, spiritual depth, and physical supply as well.

Hepatitis E is still on the rise, people in the town are at risk.

Gulu: 

Pray that God will provide the resources for a new vehicle and generator for the Coggins family.

Pray that the Lord would intervene and let them use a Christian curriculum.

Pray for Keith and Lisa in Gulu. They have a heavy schedule of visitors this summer. Ask God to bear lasting fruit through each outreach and to give them strength.

Kenya:

Pray for the teams that will be travelling to Nairobi. Pray for Twinkle and Dave to have to be strengthened and encouraged.

Pray for Tom and Cheryl as they are in Rwanda, pray it would be a blessed trip.

Pray for Jon and His family as they prepare to go back to Tanzania, pray for his wife, Carrie, who is pregnant that she would have a safe delivery.

China: 

Please continue to pray for open doors as we reach out to the earthquake victims.

Russia: 

Please pray for the children attending the three summer camps that God will move their hearts will be open and receptive to the message of through the salvation of Christ.

Pray for Sasha as he has completed the third medical treatment for Cirrhosis of the liver and will return in September for his next treatment.

Pray for Ludmila and her family for strength and God’s provision.

Please continue to pray for Jennifer.

Please continue to pray for Papa Joe he had surgery Saturday he is doing well but is still very weak. Please pray for the family that they would be touched with God’s strength and be encouraged.

Please pray for a few ladies who support the ministry through throwing parties and their families are going through great difficulty could we please pray for them; Michelle just found out her husband has a rare bone marrow disease pray for healing and wisdom with the doctors, Nancy whose mom is dying she knows the Lord but is exhausted pray for the Lords strength through this time and that she would be a testimony to her family, Pray for Geri’s husband who is still recovering from Surgery, Danelle found out her mom has cancer and went into surgery this week, and pray for Marilynn and her health as she has been going to many churches to share her heart for the ministry.

Pray for Maggie who just had a stroke.

Pray for Mark who has been such an incredible blessing and a great encouragement to the ministry, he has decided to go back to Michigan. Please pray the Lord would give him favor as he looks for a job. Pray he would find on e quickly.

Pray for Cassie as she does her party this week that the Lord would bless all that attend. Please continue to pray for wisdom for Wes & Vicky as they seek direction for His ministry at FRM and FRMA.

Close to our hearts:

Thank you to all who prayed and sent flowers and card’s to Vicky’s family last week. Her grandmother’s funeral went well and the family has been deeply comforted and encouraged by your efforts.

Vicky’s dad had a very fruitful time teaching the senior staff members in Nimule and Kitgum last week. He was also able to encourage Lisa in Gulu.

God provided enough funds for us to build the next classroom for Sanctuary of Grace in Gulu! Pray for the construction process over the next five months.

Vicki’s knee surgery went great! Her doctor has given her permission to travel to Africa in July!

Russia: 

The Lord has provided scholarships for all the kids to attend summer camp.
