Greetings Everyone,
First of all I want to thank you for all of your prayers for me while I was in Cuba. Being there was a great experience for myself and the other team members. It was great to be used of the Lord there and to learn from the Cuban brothers as well. I was very impressed by their love for the Lord and their commitment to the ministry. Without going into a lot of details I´ll just tell you that God is continuing to do a work in my heart and in our church regarding world missions. I for one am really meditating on John 3:16, especially the fact that, “God so loved the world”. It was great to be able to challenge the Cuban brothers to have a world vision as well. I´m going to try and post some pictures from the trip on the web in the next few days but I won´t be posting them on the Koinonia blog so I´ll let you know where. Read the rest of this entry »

The Potter’s Wheel – July
24 07 2008
For He has done great things…
The summer season is well under way, and back to back missionary teams are serving the community in San Martin, El Salvador. Teams from around the U.S.A. have been able to participate in community outreach events, children’s ministry and construction projects. The local barrio has been blessed by all the love these missionary teams have been showing, and furthermore, the teams have returned from this experience encouraged and excited by what they have seen firsthand. “By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35) With multiple planned construction projects, exciting things are on the horizon. We will soon double the number of kids living on the property, and future projects consist of a separate home for the “house parents” in San Martin, as well as, the needed water, electrical and septic systems. The Potter’s Field Kids program currently enrolls 75 students and our goal is to double this by the end of the year. In addition to our San Martin location, we are prayerfully working on expanding into other locations within El Salvador and other countries, including Mexico and Honduras. The Lord is opening doors for expansion in Central America and we are excited to see what He has in store for this ministry. Please pray that the Lord would continue to reveal His plan for us and the missionary teams coming to minister in the area.

“COME TO ME, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matt. 11:28
Bringing Wounded Lives To Jesus…
“Come to Me…” is God’s endless invita-tion to supply His life to all those who are weary and thirsty and who have been found wanting. This open invitation is both a divine privilege and an earthly responsibility for those who truly desire to follow Him! We continue to learn that this is not only our means to close fellow-ship with the Lord, but it is also how we are to fulfill our ministries unto the Lord. As we keep coming to Jesus…we can invite others to “taste and see” as well! Read the rest of this entry »

Rozek Update and Prayer Requests – Cambridge, England
14 07 2008
Blessings to all of you from Cambridge, England!
UPDATE…
The Lord has given us some great opportunities to be encouraged with great fellowship so far this summer with the pastors’ conference in York and spending time with other missionaries who we were able to have mutual encouragement with. We were also blessed to spend a few days up in the beautiful Lake District with Pastor Lloyd and Karen from our home base in New Jersey as well as the Cuozzo family who are serving the Lord there.
In our fellowship, we are continuing to learn more about the hurts and pains that many families have gone through in the past and are still going through presently. It seems that God keeps sending hurting, wounded and guarded believers who need to feel safe in a place where they know the Word of God will be soundly taught and who need to be deeply cared for by the love of Christ. Tiffany and I feel honored to meet to be God’s instruments to meet the needs of these precious saints. The Lord has also been sending us new people, which has been a great blessing, including one young man named Dan who is serving in the base over here and grew up in our area of Southern California and was connected to various Calvary Chapel churches. Prayer Request Update – FRM
11 07 2008Thank you for your prayers! My sister came out of surgery this morning at 3 AM after being in for 18 hours. She is stable so far with peaked blood pressure. They had to reconstruct her esophagus, intestines, an artery near her heart that had recently caused an aneurism and also did work on her lungs. She has made it through the surgery but they have paralyzed her for 24 hours which means she cannot speak or move to inform anyone of pain. Pray that she is resting and is not in too much pain. This is a critical week for her as we will see if this worked. She had another major surgery (8 hours) almost a year ago with numerous complications so her body was weak going in. It is a miracle that she has come through this so far. Thank you again,
Serra Unger
Please continue to pray for Jennifer she was in surgery from 9 am to 3 am. And she survived the surgery, Praise the Lord! This next week is crucial. If all goes well, she will be able to eat like a normal person. If not, she will need to feed through an IV for the rest of her life.
Again Thank you for all your prayers. We have truly seen a miracle here and we expect that the Lord is going to do more.

Koinonia Peru Update – Brian Vander Kodde
11 07 2008
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your continued interest in the ministry here in Peru and for your prayers. Here are a few of the things that are happening.
This last week I’ve been very encouraged about the work in Santa Rosa de Villa and Surco. We are really excited about the people that are fasting with us one or two days a week in these two churches. We’re calling on the Lord for a deeper relationship with Him and asking Him to work in our church and our neighborhood. The people in Santa Rosa have been very encouraged regarding fasting and it’s great to see.
Monday morning I walked past the church sanctuary and there were three men praying together. They were getting ready to go out witnessing. Aaron was there. He is a missionary that has been serving with us when He can. Miguel was there too. He’s 15 years old and God is working in his heart. He loves to go out and preach the word in the streets. The third man that was there was Pedro. Pedro is about 30. He works in quality control at the milk company and has been spending a good portion of his spare time in prayer and evangelism. God is good. Read the rest of this entry »
