CCk Missions Team – Update from Costa Rica

7 06 2008

Dear Family,

We took off Friday morning bound for beautiful Costa Rica. We fully expected a short but adventure packed trip and so far we’ve got it. After a short flight from Miami to San Jose we had a painstakingly long trip up and down a beautifully dangerous mountain road. We’re glad our little SUV comes with 4×4 because the wet mountain roads put our vehicle to the test. We didn’t arrive to our final destination until Friday evening so all we did was have dinner, relax, and hit the sack. This morning we woke up early, had “breakfast” that our hostel offers for free which really was no more than toast, jelly, butter, bananas, and coffee. Missionary Kim “EL Pollo Loco” Stillwell came to our hostel to pick us up. He took us on a short walking tour of the town and we got to work. A couple of us went to buy the materials needed and once we had everything in hand we went crazy on a little park in Kim’s nieghborhood. After a long day and a little lunch of mortadella and cheese sandwiches we came back to our hostel to relax, regroup, and get ready to take over the church on Sunday morning. Pray for us as we teach the services on Sunday, lead worship on Sunday, and finish up the park on Monday.

God bless,

Pedro Carrion
