The Potter’s Wheel – Monthly Update from Potter’s Field Ranch

24 06 2008

Pastor Don McClure - Montana Bible School DirectorMAKING DISCIPLES
Ready for Opening Day…

As the Montana Bible School (MBS) at Potter’s Field Ranch (PFR) is preparing for the upcoming five-month term, the question is, “what will the effect of their training be when the student returns to their sending church?” In light of this question, we are providing several ministry tracks where the students will receive hands-on learning in specific areas of church ministry. For example, the serious student will be able to finish MBS with up to 100 hours in the area of children’s ministry, if they so choose, equipped to serve at their sending church or organization the day they return. Here are some additional areas of training that will be provided: Multi-media, college & career, youth ministry, worship, missions, facilities, event planning and more. Please pray for the students as they prepare to come, learn, and be equipped for the calling set before them. Our prayer is for each student to leave MBS with a passion and desire to serve their home church in the area in which they have been called and trained.

Update on Important Prayer Request – FRM

22 06 2008

To everyone who has been praying for Vicky’s grandma thank you. Vicky’s mom was able to get to Wisconsin to say her last goodbyes. It looks like the Lord might be taking June home within the next few days. Please pray for all of Vicky’s family who does not know the Lord that through this difficult time they might find salvation. Pray they would find the Almighty God who will give them comfort.

Pray God would also touch Vicky and her dad as they are both in Africa right now that the Lord would comfort them and continue to encourage them in the Word.

God bless all of you!

The Rozek Family (UK) – Uplift and Update

22 06 2008

Only that which is for Christ and in Christ and by Christ will last…

May we all maintain the simplicity that is in Christ! May we be Christ-centered and Christ-driven! May we all keep pressing on and manifesting Him! For all of our daily works are leading up to the “Bema” Seat judgment of Christ where we will be rewarded for the stewardship that we received in the LORD. And what will really matter on that day? Is it not how faithful we were to follow Christ…how Christ was manifest in and through our lives…how Christ was glorified by our lives…and how Christ was formed in the lives of those we served! It will not be about what others think or see or feel about us. Our reward will not be based on how others responded to us…but rather how we responded to the Lord! It is all about Jesus! It is all for Jesus! And it is what pleases Him that really matters! Read the rest of this entry »

Update from CCk Mission Team in Peru

19 06 2008

Disculpame!

We have been in Pisco, and therefore didn’t have a computer. we´re all doing fine! Our outreach in Lima on Saturday went great and Pastor Jose did a great job teaching in English and then in Spanish on Sunday. Over at Pisco on Monday through Wednesday we helped out Pastor Marcos by painting the church and decorating it with some pots and plants (making it look like a Calvary Chapel!) and we helped clean. We played with the children, did face painting, played soccer, swung them around, and all sorts of fun activities. Some of us got out of our comfort zones and passed out tracks around the neighborhood, inviting them to the outreach that Pastor Jose was going to speak at. He taught extremely well and around 20 received Christ that night, the dramas as well went great and many were receptive to them, some even to the point of tears. We arrived back in Lima today, Thursday (in the middle of the night) around 1:30am-2am and now we’re back at the Bible College getting ready to go work at the orphanage.

Important request from Sudan – Far Reaching Ministries

17 06 2008

As many of you have heard the Juba peace process between the government of Uganda and the LRA (Lords Resistant Army) failed. We are receiving reports of LRA movement in Western Sudan (not near our compound yet) and in Kitgum District. Please pray for divine intervention for those who live in Sudan and Uganda.

Also, the airstrip in Kitgum has permanently closed there is no chance of ever landing a plane their again. This makes evacuating very difficult please pray that God would make a way.

We just got word today that Vicky Bentleys grandma had a stroke and is in serious condition. Please pray the Lord would come in and comfort the family and be with the doctors as they treat her.

Thank you so much for your prayers! We have watched the Lord intervene in amazing ways all because the saints have partnered with us in prayer.

May God bless you for your faithfulness.

Koinonia Peru Update – Brian Vander Kodde

12 06 2008

Hi Everyone,

I hear that it’s been pretty hot and stormy there in the States and so I want to take the opportunity to invite you to Peru. Our high today is 64 degrees. It’s a great time of year to be in Lima. You could be of great help to us here as well. Here’s what’s been happening.

The last few weeks I’ve been really struggling with my emotions because of what is happening in Santa Rosa de Villa. Please pray that God would give us wisdom and an extra outpouring of His Spirit there. Pray for provision to be able to finish the building and start an after school program as well. We will need workers that will love the people and make a commitment to help on a long term basis. What we want to do is provide the children with a loving atmosphere where we will help the children with their homework, give them something to eat, teach them the Bible and maybe train them with some job skills as well. Let me tell you about why this is becoming an increasing burden on my heart. Many times I can’t sleep at night. I wake up with images of the children in my mind and I begin to pray. I must admit though that sometimes I think I’m going crazy.   Read the rest of this entry »
