Update and Prayer Requests from the Camerons – Intervarsity

9 04 2008

Dear friends,

Thank you for praying for our recent medical missions trip to Nicaragua. We want to share praises to God with you and give you some highlights. We include three pictures here.

We were in three different locations in and around Managua hosted by local churches. The group was sixty plus, mostly medical students, and it included a number of physicians and faculty at UM. About one thousand people received medical help, medication, care packages, and prayer. Read the rest of this entry »

Personal Thank You from Vicky Bentley

9 04 2008

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I wanted to personally thank all of you for the months of prayer support you have given to me. God used you to uphold me and to sustain me. I wish I could say that I remained in perfect peace, but many times I failed to trust. I do know that each time I failed, He graciously lifted me up and I KNOW it was due to your prayers. I received dozens of cards and each one came at just the right time. The scripture verses you sent were from Him and blessed me. Wes and I are so very grateful! Thank you!

We came back from the specialist at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona yesterday. He has given me permission to return to Africa…PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be under careful monitoring every three months. My kidney seems to be responding to the medications. If they can adjust the dosage to decrease the spillage of protein my chances of having no further complications are great. If they cannot get the medication to improve the protein spillage he estimates I have about 10 more years of strength in this kidney, but would need to consider a transplant after that. Wes and I believe that God is at work and will heal me completely. I hope you will still pray for that with us.

The word thank you seems so small. My prayer is that God will richly reward you. I cannot wait until we are all in His presence and you can see how deeply your prayers have touched my life. You have all been friends that stuck closer than a brother with us during this time. Thank you and may God bless you, fill you to overflowing, and continue to use your prayers to move mountains for His glory!

Agape,

Vicky

Update and Prayer Requests – Rozeks, UK

7 04 2008

Blessings to you all! After beginning Sunday morning services these past two weeks, we are truly blessed by what the Lord is already doing in our  fellowship. There is already a strong unity being expressed among our core group of families and I am sensing an overall excitement for what God is doing and there is a genuine hunger for the Word. However we have also seen some new spiritual attacks against our family. I will be teaching on the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit this Sunday, so please pray that our fellowship understands that it is “not by might, nor by power, but by [HIS] SPIRIT” that we will move on!

Please pray for the following things…

- Pray for growth in the life of Christ in our family.
- Pray for there to be a yielding to the Holy Spirit and a yearning for the Spirit to be overflowing in our lives and the lives of those in the body.
- Pray for Jon Mac who is coming out as an intern to assist us in the ministry but has been delayed on several occasions as the embassy is trying to understand this new intern program connected with the York Bible College.
- Pray for one of the children in our fellowship named JJ who is dealing with persecution from her peers at school and doubts about the Christian faith.
- Pray for the right job for a brother in our fellowship named Rob.
- Pray for the Lord’s continued leading on a family that is taking steps to move overseas and serve with us from the States.

We love you all!

Joey
