Prayer Requests – Far Reaching Ministries

“Thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not be afraid or dismayed because of this great multitude,for the battle is not yours, but God’s.’” ~ II Chronicles 20:15b

Sudan:

- Please pray for Christine, a teenage girl who is suffering from a severe case of typhoid. Pray God would heal her, encourage her and give her family hope.
- There has been a series of poisonings in the secondary school in Nimule. Five students are dead. It appears the returnees from Uganda are behind this, but it’s unclear why. Pray for Pastor Ben Ingii who will be talking with the students and parents all week.
- Pray for the Love Covers outreach in July; for the teachers of the VBS to be anointed with ideas as they plan. Pray every lesson will draw the children to Jesus. Ask God to prepare each heart now for the message that will be shared.
- Please pray for street children in the Sudan.
- Please pray for the orphans and widows in the Sudan; for their care and provision.

Uganda:

- Pray for our missionaries to be built up in their personal devotional times this week. Ask God to reserve enough quiet time and to strengthen them in their innermost hearts.

Kitgum/Northern Uganda:

- Karamajong are still active raiding and killing; please pray.
- Last week, LRA rebel leader, Kony, refused to sign the peace agreement. In Western Sudan, 50 people were abducted a few days later. Please pray against any attempt for Kony to go back to wicked ways. Pray that God would intervene and bring true peace! Pray for protection for the people of Sudan and Uganda.
- Pray to stop the Hepatitis E epidemic which has now spread to 5 sub-counties; 21 dead.
- Pray for Maurice and Lucy, both HIV+, very sick and spiritually discouraged.
- Please pray for the 15 year old girl hospitalized and in bad condition (attacked and raped by a police officer in charge of child protection). Please pray for her complete healing: physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Pray for the police officer to repent and for justice to be served.
- Pray for Teddy to get food from WFP and for God to do a miracle.
- Pray for Grace to find healing in the Lord. Pray for spiritual sight.
- Pray for Chuck to be used mightily in Kitgum and for his family here in the States.
- Pray for a hedge of protection around the Kitgum team!
- Pray for Richard in Masindi as he uses the tractor to help internally displaced persons from N. Uganda.

- Pray that each family will have a good yield from their plot. Ask God to help get the 3 remaining tractor attachments from Sudan to Masindi this month.

Entebbe:

- Please continue to pray for the ministries and needs of CC Entebbe.
- Pray for John and his family at CC Boma
- Continue to pray for Bartholomew at CC Kajansi.
- Pray for the Linquist’s furlough plans, that God would work out all the details.

Kenya:

- Pray for the Schwartz family during their vision tour. Ask God to knit their hearts with the team, the church and the vision of FRM Kenya. Pray their children will acclimate to Nairobi and be healthy and strong.
- Please continue to pray for a peaceful resolution and an end to the riots.
- Pray for the Rees’ as they leave for Kenya April 28 en route to Rwanda. Pray for the Lord’s perfect will and provision. Also for comfort as they part with their children and loved ones.

China:

- Continue to pray for a miracle for Paul; for the Lord to carry him through this lengthy trial.
Please also pray for the orphanage group. They are learning a lot and being stretched. There are children with cerebral palsy, blind, dumb and many different health issues.
- Please also pray for Trudy, Matt and a friend of theirs as they are traveling in the countryside and visiting high schools on behalf of the foreign language school they work for. The intent is to drum up students but it’s also an opportunity to see what doors the Lord will open in the future.
- Please keep the interns in prayer as they pursue their studies even in the midst of all that they are a part of. They touch so many lives it is amazing. They are all growing, learning and working in the way they’ve been called. Thank you for your prayers.

Russia:

- Continue to pray for the children’s summer camps. For the teachers to receive words from God that will lead the children into a loving relationship with Jesus.
- Close to our hearts: Pray for George who just got laid off after 20 years with a large power company. Pray the Lord would give him peace, provision and wisdom as he looks to the future.
- Pray for Mark, Taime and family as they heal from the loss of their cousin.
- Please pray for Irene who has bladder cancer and is in much pain. Ask God to reveal Himself to her and meet her in her weakest moments with comfort and peace. She does not yet know Him.
- Pray for J’s faith to come forth as gold from this year long trial.
- Please continue to pray for Jeff, in need of a kidney. For questions call (866) 672-5333.
- Please continue to pray for Dani; pregnant and struggling with morning sickness and dehydration.
- Pray for Aaron and his wife, Karen, who has very serious health issues and needs healing. Also, her dad has terminal cancer and is in a lot of pain. He is a believer. Please pray for a complete healing from his cancer and ease from his suffering.
- Pray for Rachel Cherry as she hosts a Rabuna Fi party on Friday. And also for the event at CC Carlsbad this Friday. That God would anoint Shannon with His words and that His Spirit would penetrate the hearts of the students attending.

The prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective!

Praise Him for these answers to your prayers:

- God is using the church services at the Food for the Hungry compound in Kitgum to make a difference in the lives of the girls!! Many are getting saved; their children as well.
- Praise God for the work He is doing in Stacey’s life! Please pray for her to be rooted in His Word and that the enemy would not be able to snatch it away.
