News from Potters Field Ranch – Mike and Pam Rozell
19 03 2008
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. – Ps. 46.1
Truly a wonderful aspect to the Christian life is that our redeeming God is compassionate and caring. In our time of great need, we are forced to trust the Most Trustworthy, we are guided to the Shelter of Shelters and we place our very hope in Him. It is in maintaining fellowship with God that His strength is made manifest through our weakness. How would we glorify Him for His power and might and healing if we never suffered from weakness, sickness and frailty? Read the rest of this entry »

Update from Calvary Chapel Rio
17 03 2008
Hi everyone!!
I would like to share with you someting that is happening here Calvary Chapel Rio de Janeiro. April 2 we are going to complete 2 years here in Rio, time goes fast, and for me I can see the hand of the Lord working in and through our lives.
If you remember one of our main prayer last year was for our worship team, praise God yhe Lord has answered our prayes and now we have a very blessed worship team, Cleber, Helder, Aline, Graci, Alessandra, i would like to ask you to keep praying for them, for the Lord to continue to use their lives as they lead our church in worship.
Also we have some people involved with “door” ministry, What is that? As you guys know we meet on the third floor of a building, so we need people to stay downstairs to open the door for the people to come in, and now the Lord is raising some faithful people who are helping with that. The Power of the Rssurection – Rozeks – UK
14 03 2008Dear beloved in the Lord, as we all press on and fight the good fight of faith, it is essential that we all remember that we have the foundation of the Resurrection behind us and the power of the Resurrection to move us forward.
I went to a debate last night at Cambridge University where a Christian apologist debated a Philosophy professor on the bodily resurrection of Christ. The debate was a passing array of academic exchange and samantic discourse but never really hit the details and overwhelming evidence that surrounds the Resurrection of our Savior. At the end, they did an open question and answer time and the Lord opened the door for me to share how the Resurrection of Christ should have been the easiest event to disprove if it did not actually happen…when you consider the facts that it was the Jewish leaders who persuaded Rome to take action to guard the tomb, the Roman officials had the opportunity to meet Jesus and would not want the testimony of the empty tomb to spread through out the regions and beyond, and the sudden conversion of Saul of Tarsus along with willingness of the disciples to die for something they could have known was true or false all serve to prove that no one was able to disprove the fact that Jesus did indeed RISE AGAIN! May we not complicate things to the point where we forget the simplicity of Christ and the power of the Resurrection! Read the rest of this entry »

“Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.” — Acts 20:28
O what peace has filled our hearts since we returned from the States and have resolved to fully embrace our call to be wholehearted and single-minded toward seeing the purpose of God fulfilled here in Cambridge. The Lord has spoken to us to take the next step of faith to move to Sunday morning services beginning on Resurrection Morning, thus planting our flag in the ground…a fellowship called Calvary Chapel Cambridge.
As first-time missionaries living in another country, we came here eager to answer God’s call…but found ourselves asking questions in the back of our minds about the certainty and longevity of our call here in Cambridge. I find it interesting that when the prophet Isaiah answered God’s call saying, “Here am I, send me…” he went on to say, counting the cost, “Lord, how long?” So we are determined to give God our best and to leave the results and the details up to God. The word of the Lord to us is: “Let your eyes look straight ahead and your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established.” (Prov.4:25-26) Read the rest of this entry »

Prayer Requests – Phil and Megan Pechonis – United Kingdom
10 03 2008Please Pray:
-For our family…It looks like we as a family will be in Ft. Lauderdale reconnecting/raising support until May 3rd. We are planning to move to Exeter sometime this year to begin a Calvary and we need to make a decision whether to stay in Woolacombe until after Creation Fest or move to Exeter right away in May. Please also pray for the Volarde family as they are seeking God’s guidance in moving there as well.
-For a larger house to stay in while we are in Ft Lauderdale….It is close quarters in the current one!
-For my trip to the UK (March 6th-17th). I am head over for several Creation Fest meetings and also to pray over Exeter with Damian Volarde and a few others that are with him.
-For the wedding that I am speaking at on Saturday in Ilfracombe,England.
-For the planning of the Movement skate/music Roadshows and the Creation Fest 2008 music.
-For financial provision for our family.
-For protection against spiritual attack.
Thanks for praying!
Phil and Megan
