Greetings to all in the love of our Lord!
We pray that this email finds you all encouraged in the Lord and strong in His grace. Well..the weather has truly started to drop over here lately, but various opportunities of ministry have really picked up. These last couple of weeks has really been encouraging as God has opened up various doors to share to various believers, pastors, students and children. We have been greatly encouraged by those who have told us that they have been greatly challenged and impacted by us being here. Praise God!
Pray for those who are coming to our Friday night fellowship… There is a steady group coming to our Friday night Bible Study, and God has called us to be faithful to pour into those who are coming, including getting some more time to meet up with a couple of the college students during the week. While the Lord still has us waiting on Him for His will to be done concerning Sunday mornings, I have recently been invited to teach at a couple of churches here in the Cambridge area and the Lord is creating opportunities for me to be sharing with some international students as well.
Pray for potential plans that are unfolding here… We are planning an outreach with a bunch of college students on a Sunday afternoon on Nov. 18 at 3:00 pm. Tiffany’s brother, Chad, who is a gifted musician and worship leader will be here and we are looking to have share some music as well. We are also planning on having a worship night and a potentially a baptism coming soon for Mark and anyone else who has not been baptized. It was great having Jon Mac visit with us for a couple of days, especially since he is prayerfully considering moving out here to Cambridge to join us in the ministry here. He was able to sit in on a couple of key meetings that I had with the overseer of the campus ministry to international students in one of the large colleges here and a meeting with the advocate for the Hope ‘08 vision that involves various community outreach and ministry with all the churches here in Cambridge. We are seeing the Lord unfolding His plan and we see great potentiality of what He is doing among the estblished church in this area of England. It is very interesting that the Lord called me here for such a time as this.
Pray for our time with Mike and Jess, especially Jess’ health… Mike and Jess just arrived today and we are looking forward to sharing a great week with them… but please pray for Jess as she is feeling very sick right now. She is trying to rest, but her ears are all clogged and she is congested in her head, throat and ears.
Pray for our family to be resting in the Lord during the day and getting good rest at night, as our three children seem to trade off waking up in the night. Continue to pray for the Lord’s direction here as some interesting possibilities are arising for us over the broader community.
In His Story and For His Glory,
Joey, Tiffany, Madelyn, Josiah and Jordan
