Hello everyone.  Thank you so much for your prayers and your responses to the last email with the urgent request.  Chad, the boy who was stranded, has managed to get a flight to Nairobi on Wednesday where our team of missionaries will meet him and get him to his flight back to the US.

Again, thank you so much for your prayers..  God has heard and moved on behalf of his children!  May God richly bless you and your families!

In Christ,

Erica

November Update – Potters Field Ranch

27 11 2007

Term 3 of 2007 Commissioning NightI AM the true vine… abide in Me and I with you. – John 15.1, 4

Again we see Jesus using the “I AM” statement that refers back to Exodus 3:14, where God told Moses to say that I AM had sent him. Here, Jesus is not only claiming that He is God in the flesh, but He is also revealing to us an important expectation and commandment, that He is the true vine in Whom we are to abide. The word abide simply means to dwell or stay with, and Jesus expects us to have unhindered fellowship and communion with Him.

A Word of Thanks and Update from the Rozeks…

26 11 2007

To our beloved family in the Lord who are with us in prayer and support!

We hope each one of you enjoyed a great day of Thanksgiving with those who were around your table. We want to express to each of you how truly thankful we are for every prayer you have offered and every word of encouragement you have have given since we answered God’s call to come to England some 9 months ago.  It was almost surreal to celebrate Thanksgiving in the country where the first pilgrims sailed from.  We were really blessed to share this time with Tiffany’s brother Chad and his family who flew out to visit us.  I feel like our capacity to enjoy the Lord and consider all that God has done in and through our lives is growing deeper in our hearts..and yet we carry a certain absence of all of our loved ones who we miss dearly. Ever since Jesus came to dwell in our very lives, it is a privilege to genuinely live thanksgiving on a daily basis.  It is overwhelming to have His presence and peace ruling in our hearts.  As the Psalmist said, “What shall I render to the LORD For all His benefits toward me?” (Psalm 116:12)

Urgent Prayer Request – Far Reaching Ministries, Uganda

21 11 2007

Please pray for a young man who went to be a missionary in Uganja, Kenya. He lives here in So Cal. He is 19 and his denomination quit sending support to the orphanage where he is serving. Due to not receiving more money and the orphanage not able to extort more money from this young man they are putting this young man on the streets. This is an American kid on the streets of Africa. This is very dangerous. He is 8-9 hours away from Nairbobi and it is up to us to evac him out. He is in a remote town and we do not know where to reach him. Please pray for his protection. Pray we would be able to locate him and get him out. Pray for him mom who is beside herself with worry.

Newsletter from the Pechonis Family Serving in the UK

8 11 2007

Dear Friends,

God has made so many changes in our lives since our return from South Africa in June and our last newsletter.  The Creation Fest roadshow was incredible.  It was so exciting to see the gospel preached in so many places around Devon.  The festival itself has continued to grow.  With more local people helping in the organization, the small details are being attended to now in a way that was impossible in the past.  God has been so faithful.

Prayer Request from Paul and Marcia Cowley in Kenya

5 11 2007

Thank you for your continued prayers for the ministry in the slums of Nairobi. We are requesting prayer support in regard to an unprecendented level of illnesses in the Bible School Ministry. We have had at least 5 pastors or their spouses taken to the hospital in the past 2 weeks, including two in the past 24 hours. One undergoing emergency surgery. Many more have fallen ill with various other debilitating illnesses (typhoid, malaria and parasites being the most common). In addition, the Field Missionaries (Cowley’s and Chesebro’s) have had their share of illnesses, injuries and such as well. It has truly been a fierce battle for the past month. And it seems to be continuing. A pastor and a pastor’s spouse were both involved in a road accident today, while on a ministry mission. By God’s grace, they were both spared any serious injury.
