Update from Carol Spears in Kenya

July…Filled to the brim!

July has been a full month!! We have been blessed with many visiting doctors and their families. I enjoyed having one of my professors from the University of Kentucky , Dr. Dan Kenady, come for a couple of weeks. He and many other have been invaluable in helping us take care of the increased patient load this time of year (it is harvest season and there is money for hospital visits, surgery, etc.). In the picture, Dr. Kenady and I are operating on a young man with gastric outlet obstruction secondary to peptic ulcer disease.

Update from Phil and Megan Pechonis in the United Kingdom

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to update you on everything that is happening with the Roadshows and festival. The roadshows have gone really well. We’ve seen some people give their lives to Jesus. The roadshow in Bideford was about the size of our first Creation Fest in 2002. We were pleased to see the churches there pull together, finance the event, and get involved in promoting and helping at the event. Saturday we will have a roadshow in Exeter in front of the cathedral. Over 120 Americans arrived today and will outreach the city while a professional skateboarder does skate demos and 5 bands perform on stage. Please pray for clear weather, for openness in the hearts of the people, for safety for all involved, and for God to be glorified in all things.

On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday we will be doing 3 Roadshows in the town of Ilfracombe. Please pray that the gospel will be heard all over the town and many would be give their lives to the Lord!

Please pray for the final plans for Creation Fest. Pray for clear weather to dry out the field, for financial provision, for accomodation for the bands and sound and video crews, for prompt delivery of all supplies and equipment, that we can be a witness to all the suppliers, for safety for everyone involved in setting up and building, for everyone to keep their focus on Jesus and have servant hearts, that the gospel would go forth in boldness, that all the speakers and musicians would be empowered, and that the Lord would bring many to the festival and many would come to know Him through the festival.

Prayer Request from Gary Cameron

Dear praying friends,

I would like to ask you to pray for a special event this week. I will be in Nashville participating in the Graduate and Faculty Ministry (GFM) Regional staff conference with IVCF graduate school staff from the South/Central region. I will be leading worship and reflection times with another director for our colleagues in ministry, many of whom have had mountains to climb pertaining to the work. I will also be in special meetings with our Regional Director and the Florida staff team. Please pray for God’s blessing on this time.
