Behold, we have arrived!
We met up at Calvary Chapel Kendall, Friday at about 10:30 am. We made sure that everything was in order, CCk looked like Grand Central Station, everyone on staff was running around doing last minute errands for us. Thanks guys, we really appreciate it! Didio, the Singles Ministry Pastor, spoke a blessing over us and shared Psalm 103.
We caravaned to the airport and the whole time we were praying that we didn’t over-pack. The check in and security went really smoothly, God really gave us favor in this area. Our flight out of MIA was delayed for about 2 hours, but we passed the time reading, fellowshipping, and eating.
When we finally got on the plane, the flight went by slooooowwwwwwwwly, but we made it through. We arrived in Germany to make our connection and guess what, our connection was delayed by almost 2 hours! Two of the guys killed time by sleeping on the floor, but we all got really creative when it came to our sleeping arrangements while in the airport. Two of the ladies bunked together on a couple of chairs, Another one of the ladies put on her shades and pretended to still be awake. We finally boarded our flight, after the first movie, most of us went straight to sleep.
Behold! We arrived safely in here! We flew through security, praise the Lord! We collected all of our bags, praise the Lord again! And then we came right out and found our driver.
Once we arrived at our destination we were received warmly by our friend and some other familiar faces. They had tea, coffee, cookies, and some presents waiting for us. We hung out for a little, relaxed, and checked out our sleeping quarters, everything was great. After a little while we headed out to a world famous pizza place. We walked up and down the hills all the way there. So far we’ve seen a shepherd with his sheep, olive trees, a wedding caravan, and best of all, after pizza we had a local desert, delicious!
Now we’re back home and ready to go to sleep, we’re a few hours ahead of you guys so while we’re heading off to bed you guys are still in the middle of your day. We want to tell our loved ones that we’re okay, we love you guys, and we thank you for your prayers. We’ll keep you guys up to date on our events. Stay tuned!
